About Coach

A sloth at heart, my highest aim was to be a couch potato all day. My poor body rejected this philosophy and sent me huge warnings in the form of pain, stiffness, and exhaustion. I knew something had to change, and lockdown was the prompt. I started online Pilates and was shocked at how little I could do. Having always given up before, a friend pointed out that once per week is better than none per week, so I used that as my new philosophy. Showing up even when I really didn't want to. I told myself I would do a half session or I would only give 50% as long as I turned up. It worked and I carried on. Then a friend introduced me to Xena Fitness Studio, where I tried aerial yoga and aerial Pilates. I was instantly hooked (excuse the pun) and now I train in circus arts too. I've come such a long way and always have more to learn. My philosophy now is to make exercise as fun as possible so it's easy to stick to and becomes something to look forward to. I like to bring this attitude into my classes so everyone knows that, even when they're working hard, there's going to be fun and some silliness sometimes, too.
